Hi, Im planning on a Road trip this coming holiday season to KL. Has anyone booked rooms via booking.com? I find their rates are very attractive for e.g: 3 nights at The Gardens in Midvalley is around S$390 whereas on asiaroom.com or elsewhere it is close to S$470. Anyone with experience booking through them? [;)]

Thanks for the replies. I'll check out Agoda to make a comparison.

You can now book via iPhone app for booking.com. I'm just wondering if the rates at booking.com are too good to be true.

Since Paddie recommended it, I might give it a try.

Same her, I was comparing between Agoda, Booking.com and one more site. I find that Booking .com rates are lower, but I have never used them.

Do share your after sales experience with us.

Thanks.

Different booking websites tie up with different hotels. **There's no specific booking website with the best price. Step 1: Choose the hotel you want. Step 2: Browse through all the pricing on the booking websites. Step 3: Book the cheapest and most favorable.

Do take note of the following:

Taxes and Service Charges inclusive?

Free Breakfast or Internet Access?

Pay online or at the hotel? (Exchange rates may differ when you check-in)

Any charges for cancellation, amendment or change of booking?

Yes, better you use Agoda, I've used booking.com before, no difference form asiarooms.com, where you pay when

you arrive at the hotel, Agoda is payment advanced, so you need not worry about paying when at the hotel.

Plus Agoda has reward points, which you can redeem against your next booking. Personally, prefer to pre-pay,

less hassle during checkin.

Booking.com, asiarooms,com,agoda.com etc... +/- few bucks here and there. some hotels cheaper here, some other sites.

overall, booking.com is no problems. Have you tried hotels.com? Think their rates for MY is better. Yes, used them as well.

It also depends if you're booking during it's peak season or not.

booking.com collects money upon booking confirmation. If no show, penalty 1 night.

Try eurobookings.com, no need to pay when booking. Pay directly to the hotel when check out. Can cancel without penalty if cancel 24hr before the check-in date.

It is part of booking.com.
