sgsmith 1st Gear February 10, 2019 Share February 10, 2019 I was doing some cleaning in car with two doors open for a while, then I notice that I can no longer switch on the interior light at the roof. After I closed the door, lock the car, and unlock the car, I can turn on the interior light. Is there an "auto off" function to the interior light, after door open for long?Happen to notice that I set a time out of 15 min. So it is a time out effect ↡ Advertisement
sgsmith 1st Gear February 10, 2019 Share February 10, 2019 Hi, getting my first Mazda 6 after 2 Toyotas. Am thinking if it is possible for me to change the air-con filter to a HEPA grade filter? Wonder if any of you has done that? Would appreciate advice on where to buy the filter, or where to change it? Thank you lots! Philips GP Compact 200 has HEPA filter, but it is an external car air filter, need to plug into the 12v power, and occupy some cabin space
flashbang Turbocharged February 10, 2019 Share February 10, 2019 Hi Toyota, BB cars would be about 20k nowadays... - xar 100k or 11k including interest - road tax and insurance of 2k - petrol of 2k for well used 20k km/yr - maintenance of 1k - etc. Cheers. Richard 2k petrol sounds like underestimate. My monthly is 400 for a 1.6NA...
AndrewChinFookHoi Neutral Newbie February 10, 2019 Share February 10, 2019 Hi All, My car is a Jan 2019 2.0L Executive model and the FC so far is 10.6km/l (city). That's pretty bad right? I will say my driving is light on pedal. I have seen post of achieving FC of 14-15km/l. How was that been done?

I will say my driving is light on pedal. I have seen post of achieving FC of 14-15km/l. How was that been done? Incidentally I too have similar fuel consumption as you. I took delivery of my Mz 6 2.0L Executive in mid-Jan and have already covered ard 2400 km. My average fuel consumption in city driving is around 9.5 - 10.0 litres / 100 km. When I drove along the NS Highway at an average speed of around 120-130 km/hr, the ave consumption is around 6.8 lit / 100 km. I am not complaining as it is a 2.0L engine. But I also wonder how others got better consumption.

Cheers. Richard Incidentally I too have similar fuel consumption as you. I took delivery of my Mz 6 2.0L Executive in mid-Jan and have already covered ard 2400 km. My wife manages 7.5-8.0l/100km from daily weekday peak hrs trip from yck to bradell to lornie to holland to singapore poly and vice versa. Cheers. I will say my driving is light on pedal. I have seen post of achieving FC of 14-15km/l. How was that been done? This is the same as me. My average is 7.4L/100km which converts to 13.5km/L. 70% of my trips are on expressway. I did take note of my city driving. It is about the same as you. 10km/l +- 1 km. I observed it using the current trip metric.

If still exist then something is loose somewhere.

Just surf ard TEK FB page comments section and u can see the sheer amount of angry customers cursing and swearing at TEK after sales svcs I was tempted to buy the CX5 2L Premium but decided to pull handbrake. Mazda build great cars, but no amount of hardware, design finesse can overcome the sloppy dealership and absurd customer services. Luckily we can always svcs outside or in JB to save on svcs cost and still enjoy top quality engine oil and other consumables that you supply Seems like sloppy after sales dept is the norm for many ADs these days. If u want quality workmanship and great quality consumables and parts used, and short waiting times and low cost, you have to svcs outside.

So that like-minded car seekers can share their resources and "wisdom". I think it's due to our local tax structure etc, and the way dealers operate here as opposed to say, in Australia. I think that we need to temper our expectations somewhat. Count ourselves lucky if the aftersales svc is just plain bad. As opposed to the dealer bending you over and profiteering from you when you're stuck with one of their s*** cars.

I would think its becos of the general lack of skilled auto technicians and the general lack of customer services culture in SG. I mean as much as I hate to admit, our country is not known for great customer services regardless of which industry. And our complex legal channels that favors large corps also made these org complacent and arrogant over time. In your case bro, if you are living in North America, you would have sued the dealer and have prob won the case a long time ago. And Mazda USA would have assign a top level rep to contact you for compensation. Outside workshops can excel becos they are small and they are easy to handle. And their reputation usually works on referrals and word of the mouth. And skilled auto technicians would usually prefer smaller outside shops or setup their own shop after working in AD for a few years. And sometimes they pay depends on how much biz they have. Of cos they would want to do a good and careful job to your car. Actually in today's E commerce world and the internet, there is no reason to rely your svcs needs from the AD. With some read up, anyone can know more about their cars than the AD svcs dept ever would. And parts from Amazon, taobao are cheap and plentiful. And most are top quality stuff.
