So in a sense it still turns bad slowly like food in a refrigerator, no matter how cold?

Fully syn is 6 mths ?

Semi is 3 mths?

Wah lao, like that I damn lugi siah...

Assuming this holds correct, then those OPC with mileage like 5-6k per year will be wasting a lot of oil ?

Haiz...

Previously, I drove an opc. I never hit 10k within 6 mths but I always change the eo once it hits 6 mths.

I didn't want to deal with a possibility of sludge forming.

My mileage was 2k+ and I was using good dino oil from citgo and then chevron.

Hi guys,

Any workshop recommendation for Mazda 6 dashboard repair? My friend mazda 6 has this rubbery dashboard (passenger side), and there are some small holes in it.

Hopefully it can be repaired

I want also :)

My passenger side dashboard has the same problem

Neutral Newbie

I didn't take picture.. I do not know what caused it.. I have 3M crystaline solar film on front..

I have the same problem that my passenger side dashboard will become sticky

whenever i parked my car in open air car parks and exposed to sunlight.

By the way, there is a class action lawsuit in the US against Mazda/Toyota/Nissan on the melting dashboard problem.

Did you talk to the agent about this?

Anyway,to prevent it,try to park indoor,as much as possible...

Agreed, been having indoors most of the time and good value when trading in

Just pay extra for the protection it pays off.

Have also tried to use temporary protection (like covering with a thick cloth for insulation) when forced to park outdoors. Reduces the melting slightly, but doesn't entirely solve the problem.

Anyone has solve the dashboard melt and crack issue?

Is this manufacturing defect?

The melting and crack take place near the passenger airbag area, is it dangerous?

I have the same issue on Mazda 6 since last year (about 4 years old then). I have tried using the Meguiars Gold Class Leather Cleaner to clean the dashboard after cleaning my leather seats. The cleaner works well. The dashboard is smooth and a bit oily to the touch (as the cleaner is a bit oily) instead of being sticky. I reapply once every 3-4 months and the stickiness is still not back.

Do try this and see if it works for you. Even if it doesn't, at least you can still use it for your leather seats.

Can anyone confirm if the 2nd generation (GH) Mazda 6's replacement main beam xenon bulbs uses D2S 35W bulbs? One of mine blew, would like to see what options I have but google generally only gives me the USA Mazda 6 sites, which may not be accurate for the SG cars.

Thanks

I doubt the bulbs are different, so a D2S will probably work. That said you could certainly go ask an automotive shop, I'm certain at least one will know.

Or you could remove the bulb yourself and inspect it.
