What's the difference with all these colours/paints?

Any specialist in art/design can answer this question?

 

What's the difference between Water Colour, Poster Colour and Acrylic Colour/Paint? All come in tubes in a box. Acrylic is suitable for what medium? Can dilute with water or need something else? Water and Poster Colour look pretty much the same and can be used on paper, so why the diff?

 

Went to buy some art supplies and realise that there is a great variety available these days. Blur :blink:

Sorry . In my entire life , I never passed Art.. the highest I got was E8...
