Bintan or Batam? 3D2N over X'mas...

hi, for a family of 2Adult + 2Kids...batam or bintan? not really particular on beach or shopping...just want a wholesome time with fun activities...

bintan - 6/10

cleaner/nicer beach.

watersports - monsoon so can shelf the idea.

cost - pay in SGD

 

 

batam - 5.8/10

boring.

water sports - monsoon so can shelf the idea

cost - pay in rupiah.

BUT there is karting. can check with resort/hotel.

Bintan has a better beach as it is well maintained to cater to tourist while Batam is catered to both tourist and locals. While December is monsoon season enjoying beach activities depends on the weather.

 

Personally Bintan is a little expensive compared to Batam but in Batam you need to be street smart. But i'm sure both places are not too far off to compare with in terms of goods/food/fun/shopping.

 

For you i suggest Bintan as you wanna plan for family fun. I think they still have all the ATVs, Go-cartings, Water sports and Paintball.
