Man found dead in Bukit Batok church. Face slashed

年轻男子离奇死在教堂内的草地上，脸被砍伤！

 

这起惊人命案发生在今早10时05分，地点是武吉巴督东2道的天使之后堂（Church of Saint Mary of the Angels)。

 

据记者了解，死者年龄不详，但是个年轻人。记者接到消息赶往现场时，发现死者卧尸处在教堂内一座建筑物后的草地上。警方已经封锁现场展开调查，气氛紧张。

 

据知，死者并不是教堂职员，他被发现时脸上有多处砍伤。然而，死者既然不是教堂职员，为什么会死在教堂的范围内，耐人寻味。

 

截至《联合晚报》截稿为止，警方人员还在现场调查，还没有证实案件的性质。

 

Singapore: The body of a man has been found in the compound of the Church of Saint Mary of the Angels at Bukit Batok East Avenue 2.

 

Police received a call about the body found at around 10am on a grassy patch.

 

It is not known yet if there's foul play involved.

 

According to a church employee, the gates to the church open at 6 am each day after being locked at night.

 

There was a morning mass from 6.20am to 7am and about 20 people attended it.

 

The dead man was however not a member of the congregation.

 

An Indian landscape worker, 69, said he saw the body of the victim and informed one of the parish priests.

 

Declining to be named, the man said the victim was a Chinese man in his 40s.

 

There were blood stains, around the chest area, on his white shirt and his arms were by his side. There were also bruises on his face.

 

The police have also cordoned off the void deck at a block of flats next to the church.
