it is really really bad in kelantan

 

that visible portion is the 4th level of a school building which was used as a flood rescue centre.

i just drove back from pahang. Down south its ok, and NS highway is built on higher ground.

However their met dept has predicted heavy rains and floods in Johor 28-30th Dec, so be safe.

This year seems more serious than other years ?

 

It appears the North East part of penisular MY is worst hit, due to the incessant rain and overflowing rivers.

Yes for kuala Krai.

For this flood level, it was last seen in the great flood of 1926!

It is once in a century.

I am not joking hor.

The whole town is under water. Half of it, the water level is over the 2nd floor.

This is a full fledge flood. Hope things would turn for the better for those affected. My prayers are with them to overcome this major catastrophe.

as long as it's water-tight, floating away is not a problem. Owner must be thinking, better it floats away than having engine seizure.

 

 

 

 

Some friends there rented flatbed lorries to keep their cars dry.

It's really heart wrenching to see natural disasters although not sure if we can count flood as a natural disaster but it upsets everyone's lives and when your possessions like home, car and belongings get damage; it can be very demoralizing. My prayers go out to those affected and hope they are able to resume their lives soonest!
