hehe i was also shopping around for infant care yesterday. seems like all the centres kind of standardize price with less than 2% standard deviation and most of them work backwards to inflate the price after the MCYS subsidy haha.

there's really only 2 consideration: convenience vs child development.

convenience would very much depend on where you stay, where you and spouse work and who drives a car etc.

to me the differentiating factor of child care centers is whether the teachers can teach well or not. and of cos whether they look after the child carefully or not. other things like facilities and nice environment not so important.

Why do you keep bumping that post if there are no further details to add? Why not just post a link?

As much as I think you made a valid point, you seem to go very far in getting everyone to only look at things which you want.

Your point has been made and supported, don't need to overdo it.

i havent research ywca.

some say look for a place that stimulates the child's brain and social development, ie got those colorful and educational stuff that allows the baby to stimulate the brain.

for me i not so kiasu, i thik last time kids also don't have such advantage, now the kids taken care of by grandparents also don't have this advantage.

so for me, i think the childcare centre whereby the hygiene and teacher is good is priority if the location is convenient to me.
