.nowadays car salesman very redundant... only sit inside the car and do paper work only... no need to even talk or try to sell u the car during test drive...

asked one before... he says the car can sell by themselves... most customers already know what they looking for and know what functions the cars have...

Depends on individual la, some car salesman provide quite good service and have good knowledge on the cars they are selling. But some really cannot make it.

Wrong attitude by that sales guy if you ask me.

To be in sales, even if a customer is already well verse in the product, his job is really to know more about the product (and product comparison since his company could be selling various models) and try to add value to the customer know-how so that it develop trust in the relationship. At the very least, the customer knows he is dealing with someone who knows what he is selling and that he CARES.

There will be good and bad months. It also depends on the car you are selling. Too many factors to nail down on average.

But you can see there are so many of them, they cannot be drinking water and leaving their family without food on the table. [;)]

saleman or boss? saleman AD but boss will be PI

For salesperson I would rank the pay ladder as: Used car sales, PI sales and AD sales.

For boss, I guess used car and PI is likely an individual whereas AD boss (head) is normally employed.

I understand used car salesman operate maciam like independent contractor, must pay daily rent to the boss somemore for the showroom space until the car is sold. It’s actually quite interesting business model
