as above , anyone driven before ? comments please

honestly speaking, if no off-road driving intention, both prado and fortuner are wasting of $$,

I used to drive Prado in mideast, very good off-raod capacity, spacious interior, we always used it for commerical purpose, good handling, top speed hit 200km/h (MT)

but FC poor, 7 km/L, sluggish in city driving

both 2.7L 163bhp, body weight more than 2 tons,

serverly underpower, instead FJ cruiser and Landcruiser are good options

I drove a Fortuner ( 1st model ) for 4 years. It's easy to handle and lots of low torque. It's a solid car but FC is a killer especially after 140km/hr. If go over 160km/hr it's like 3km/ltr. Max speed is 180km/hr.

Fortuner is not designed at that speed :D

I make it a point to rent a Fortuner whenever I am in Thailand due to personal fetish. It drives like a pick-up like it is suppose to. Other than that, no major problem.

I recently saw a Fortuner. The owner...had off-road tires installed all round. LoL... The sound produced by the tires in the expressway could be heard in a 10m radius. It's not a hum mind you. It's wailing all the way. I uncontrollably laughed at it.

Fortuner made in Thailand, sharing the same platform with Hilux pickup truck.

The Prado is made in Japan, sharing same platform as Land Cruiser.

Interior quality is huge difference.

If budget permits, go for Prado.
