He is basically admit, PAP did not treat us as human being, doesn't listen to people.

Like that he take a pot shot at MM Lee "repent" comments, just like Yacob. MM Lee seems very quiet for the past few days. Maybe fell sick with all the PAP MPs & Nicole's comments about him. Or son told him, less he talk, the better?

Just look at how the all Mighty PAP have fallen.

Thats why we need more alternative voice, to wake up their idea. Before election, so yaya.

I think this is by far the most humbling (relatively) and admission yet from a PAP candidate. So far we see alot of smearing campaign by vivian, LHH, Lau Goh, don't who is name who called hougang a slum. Even threatened by MM lee. But I think it's a little too late. Maybe he drop LHH and Cythia, it may improve their image.

This is just talk to try n win votes. Once they back in power they will come out in full force to screw us and not to mention the FT they will bring in to outnumber our vote come 2016. Bros we must be steady in our unwavering support for the B TEAM

WP for Aljunied is our best hope now for putting credible opposition into the parliament. Sorry George, you in the way.

Even foreign media were aware of the warning sign since the last financial crisis....

Aljazeera report about Singapore's poor -in Jul 2008. Some footage may look all too common now in Singapore today.

Reform is the word not just for PAP, but also applicable to Singapore's System.

We now have several Alternative Dream Team waiting for YOUR VOTE to make that Change.

Just another trick to win votes....

Anyone seriously believe him after how many decades of promises and "we should" ?

It's too late and too little.

Why u worry whether credible or not. If any OPP are not given a chance how will u ever know if they will be able to do the job. Remember P8p started as an OPP. U cannot write anyone off. Is Nicole not credible? Remember we are voting for our children's future cos if TODAY we don't make a change then we will never ever have the opportunity to do that with the 900k FT that will next form the majority. Then even if every NATIVE SGPOREAN votes OPP we will still lose the election. NOW is when we must act I believe.

BTW ISN'T " not credible" = INCREDIBLE?

Once a person changed too much means the end is near.

That's what my old man said.

I prefer the word "a new beginning", rather than the "the end".

Yes, the sudden about-turn by the Ruler is freshing, but too late.

Compare the change:

PM speech Apr'2011 NUS speech vs the attitude in 3 May rally.

Another version of the same story:

Looks like Georgie is admitting that Workers Party is right all along, and sending a subliminal message that we should vote for WP:

PAP needs to review way it governs: George Yeo

Mr George Yeo (centre) arrives at the Hougang Avenue 1 PAP branch office as Mdm Cynthia Phua (second from right) briefs her PAP activists on how to distribute letters which detail plans for the Aljunied GRC to the residents as a form of outreach to them on the final day of campaigning. -- ST PHOTO: ALPHONSUS CHERN

WHATEVER the results of the general election, the People's Action Party will have to take a very hard look at itself and review the way it governs, said Mr George Yeo.

The Foreign Minister observed that the run-up to Saturday's polls has surfaced a level of anger and resentment towards the government and the PAP, which he said cannot be ignored.

And if elected, Mr Yeo, who leads the PAP team in the fiercely-battled Aljunied GRC, pledged that he and his team-mates would be 'advocates of reform' within the party, the government and the Cabinet.

In an interview with The Straits Times and Chinese-language daily Lianhe Zaobao on Thursday morning, Mr Yeo, whose team is facing off the Workers' Party 'A' slate led by Mr Low Thia Khiang, acknowledged that 'there is considerable resentment against the government and its policies, and some of them run deep'.

It is this emotional undertone that the WP team in Aljunied GRC has managed to tap into, he thinks. 'In that regard, the WP provides a loudspeaker for those who are frustrated, resentful and angry,' said Mr Yeo.

'This is a struggle for the soul of Singapore.'

again .. he contradicts all his good intentions with this statement:

And if elected, Mr Yeo, who leads the PAP team in the fiercely-battled Aljunied GRC, pledged that he and his team-mates would be 'advocates of reform' within the party, the government and the Cabinet.

Thus, if not elected, he fark care what happen to Singapore and to hell with reform. Yep.. very sincere guy.

Did I write anybody off? I refrain from commenting on other opp candidate, doesn't mean I wrote them off. But WP for Aljunied is not called the dream team for nothing.
