DIY - Lights

Hi all, recently i have managed to change the backlight colour for my dashboard and indicator lights of my matrix to white and purple (all thanks to Redlavita! He spent quite alot of time explaining to me his DIY experience and demo how to change a LED!

)

 

Last week i have also managed to install 2 LED Strips at the leg room for driver and passenger sit, tapping the driver door light (the one on the bottom right). But this will only works if the driver door is open

 

I want to try when i unlock the door, the light will turn on. does any bro here have any ideas how to do it?
