Mona-vie 1st Gear May 16, 2011 Share May 16, 2011 Absolutely no chance in getting the exhaust onto your car legally. 1. There is no cat. Confirm fail. 2. Manufacturer needs to certify this exhaust is safe for use on the car. Can you get such a certification? Unless Hyundai says its OK, its not going to work. Thus, its either you install it illegally or don't install.

Alvincyh Neutral Newbie May 19, 2011 Share May 19, 2011 Bro i think its gonna be tough to get this legalised. Not sure if any LTA recognises the labs or test centres from korea.
Mona-vie 1st Gear May 20, 2011 Share May 20, 2011 using back stock cat It doesn't matter cause rules already stated very clearly that you cannot use aftermarket manifolds. There are no aftermarket manifolds that are approved. As for the certification of the exhaust, you can try to get manufacturer to certify that the exhaust is suitable for use with the car then go for inspection and emission test etc with LTA. Only when LTA certifies that this exhaust can be used, then you can use it, else no. Be prepared to spend lots of $$$ and time to get it certified as well (if its possible). Mona-vie 1st Gear May 20, 2011 Share May 20, 2011 If you can get TUV or JASMA to certify it for you, then you won't have problems getting it installed onto your car. But I think it will cost well over 10K to do that. Not sure if its worth just for installing an exhaust system.
