What's the average pay for retail staffs? Survey only

Since recently got a lot of topics asking about their pay scale especially from manufacturing sector. I am interested to know the average income for retail staffs as It is often associated with long hours and low pay with low education?..

 

Maybe I can start off:

 

highest qualification; bscBM

Post: Snr manager

Remuneration: >$6000 depends on sale.

Very hard to give you an ave figure lei because it all depends on commisson.Some company give fix basic ,also depends on what kind of trade,eg those at heartland area who work in small detail shop"family bussiness type" around $1000-$2200(Some get PRC even cheaper,$800-$1500.)Those work in big retail chain selling niech products can fetch $5k-$7k.

Senior manager as in the shop or the HQ? Retail with or without commission? what product? as some have 3-4 tier of comm scheme....

Retail staff usually have very low basic, maybe ard 1.2K but with commission. However i have a frd working in a luxury watch retail store getting more than 2K w/ commission.

If u are asking average gross pay for retail staff, sometimes quite hard to gauge since most of the retail staff is comm based.

2 friends in singtel retail. take home average above 4k includes com

long long time ago i worked in computer and software retail...basic was 1.5k

monthly average commission plus OT came up to about 3 to 4K (take home)...

more hard working ones take home close to 5 or 6k (take home)

Typically a rookie cashier in a retail mart would earn around RM800~1100 in JB. Small chain stores Manager can be somewhere like RM3000~10,000. There is a fixed salary component plus store performance allowance. They usually have car and petrol allowances. Phone also.
