Hi

My 4 year old car shocks just leaked.

My friend recommended that I can try the above shocks.

I have a few noob questions.

Anyone tried it?

Is it really harder than stock?

Gas or oil shocks?

Can we use lowering springs with it?

Thanks.

not really harder.but slightly more firm .

you can still use lowering spring with it.

why not try some entry level coilover like tein super street.you get daily comfort yet an even more firm ride.

I went to lim tan motor and was introduced STD suspension. No pun intended.

Not bad?? Lim tan motor can trust??

How about telling us your preference? You prefer soft or hard setups? Prefer cornering stability or more biased towards comfort?? Without saying such things, how are people going to give you good advice?

Hi all sorry

I'm more towards comfort. Slightly firmer than stock.

Comfort - 7/10

Firm - 3/10.

Me thinks that if comfort is your cup of tea, maybe coilovers not a good idea. I stand corrected.

KYB is decent and i remember it supplies stock shocks to a few japanese marquees. I never heard of STD but maybe i am suaku.

yes, 've tried the KYB SR special before..it's firmer than stock and it's adjustable just like Koni..but easier to adjust (the rear) than Koni..

Definitely firmer than stock. Gas shocks are good to go with. You can use with lowering springs.

The KYB New Sr Special is a non adjustable damper but it is use as a performance shock for all round comfort and performance drive. The cylinder is made slightly bigger for better damping. I guess the adjustable part is for the KYB AGX or extage.
