Neutral Newbie

Sadly, no.

Hmmm how about someone start a thread on the worst employer in Singapore? We all know the official wouldn't have the guts to show the results of such a poll.

I propose to base the worst employer agenda on the following criteria :

1) Working hours (actual working hours, work life balance)

2) Pay

3) Work conditions (Health & Safety)

3) Welfare benefits

I'm actually surprised to see McDonald's up there, not only in Singapore but also other APAC locations. Sounds like they might have an active HR team and plan to participate in these studies.

The rating critera is described on the original site, I didn't read in detail. But usually these studies will not focus on $$$, but more on other motivation and benefits. At the end of the day, its all perceptions. Somebody could be paid well, but no work-life balance and unhappy; vice versa.

"The 2011 study will have an increased focus on alignment of people practices to the business.

We will study business impact of positive people practices, and evaluate the actions and

behaviors of different employee segments that enable improved business performance."

Perhaps those who work these companies can share with us why they enjoy / don't enjoy working there ?
