Bro, frankly, there is nothing to scared of. In fact, I found Thailand very safe. People very friendly but speaks little English! I think K.L is very rowdy, traffic terrible same as Bkk. I post my Blog to let bros in here who had already planned the drive that far but dunno where to start......JUST DO IT!

Bro got balls. I only did KL. Thailand I scared hahaha

I did numerous trip into MY with friends on motorcycle and already did 3 trips up to Penang with my family.

GPS really makes traveling onto unknown lands a breeze.

I will go for long trip in a few years time when I retired from my job, no need to take leave, just plan and go as far as I wish and stay as long as I like, hahaha.......  :D

Just hope I don't get a stroke before that [bigcry] [bigcry]

I was thinking why not I do it when I retire. but think twice, better do it while young. Retire have heart no strength liow.

So I take a 12 days paid leave and 18 days unpaid leave just for this trip!!! It's a little time consumed though. But it's another way of having fun. [rolleyes]

Ya, in the Southern Thai not that obvious, people staring at my V. But in the Northern Thailand, when ever I parked on the traffic light, people left right front rear all staring at me. LOL......... a little like super star feeling....kekekeke....joking lar!

Congrat bro. this on hold will be many years later. Ya, before I had my trip. I planned whenever I have time.

The most important thing is the Crossing of the Malaysia ~ Thailand border. And the planned route. Although some people said crossing the Thailand border is a piece f cake, I found it otherwise.

It's very Chaotic at the custom, not really have the Signboard of which one to Queue and if you Queue the wrong lane, you need to re~Queue until you find the right one. Quite many steps to follow while crossing but we all learn from mistake!!

Or perhaps I cross the border on the Saturday that's why so messy. but if I were to cross there again, I will sure do it right, ask before Q!

I don't think a big problem. But better limit to only driver and passenger. I saw a Getz in Nakon Si thamarat, a Msia registered car.

Before you drive, get a pre trip inspection, change whatever necessary parts for the peace of mind. Not a big problem bro. Drive 100km/h - 140km/h ........

wondering if a small car like 1.1 or 1.3 can go all the way to thailand or not hor.....
