Bro, you are a DIY guy.

Take out the whole drum and clean the outside yourself man! 😁

A bit too much work to dismantle the drum.

Cleaning and sanitizing periodically should be enough.

Anyway, there's stagnant water, there's always the bacteria growth, just like aircon fcu.

Other than using alkali to clean, we can also use mild acid -> vinegar, citric acid,  oxalic acid. You can buy the powder from shopee.

Acid is also good for removing rust.

Just joking bro.

Mine 6 years already, waiting for it to break down so I can buy new one. 😁

No leh, if you just use washing powder only for top loader then no such problem.

that why i said it happens to most top load users mah.

When I was using top load, I used top load detergent (Attack or Top) and softener. Also kanna. Maybe it's my luck.

Anyway, I've switched to front load, using front load suitable powder and softener. No issue. Front load seems to wash cleaner too (my perception).

Friendly reminder to clean your washing machine drum from time to time.

Only 4 months since the last cleaning and so much soap scum already. Scums!

you also use samsung top load washer?

For cleaning the washer, I usually use hot water filled to the top to wash but dun drain the water, then use laundry net to scoop out the scum, do that for 2 or rounds until no more scum.

Yes, 8 years already. Some here cursed the brand like @Mustank. 😅

Fill to the top is 70L I think, where you get so much hot water? From heater? Or just kettle boil? 😁

Why don’t just use a WM cleaner?

How come so much scum? It is due to the type of detergent used?

My WM has self cleaning cycle. 90 degrees water. Then go inside with paper towel to clean the dislodged gunk. front loader.

For people who die die must use iquid softener, can try not pouring direct to the inlet... dilute it fully first with water.

I think the pee sai forms when undissolved half dried bits of liquid softerner etc somewhere in the intestines of the washer sticks on to your clothing like glue 🤔... iron it... and it's done,  can buy new cloths

Buy black colour clothing, problem solved! 🤣🤣

oh got add wm cleaner powder, hot water from water heater, wash and dun drain, let the scum slowly come out then scoop them out, I dun trust that they will drain away and not go back stuck on the drum again [laugh]

You want no scum? Only 2 words.

Front loader.

Really. Not joking. 2 FL of different brands and no scum for the last 11 years.

My TL of 2 different brands over 10 years all have the black scum.
