Toledo 1st Gear August 2, 2011 Share August 2, 2011 my car was registered in 12/06. 1st replacement was in 14/7/08. 2nd replacement in 2/10. warranty as stated in the receipt 13/07/13. so apparently they gave full 5 yrs for 1st replacement. btw they did not give me the new IU. still the old one. Sometimes it's the electrical connection....my previous car's IU "died", but it was the wire tat came loose, so the Viacom guy juz re-tape the wires n everything was ok. I traced the IU cable to a big mess of wiring that was taped up with black electrical tape. Checked fuses in the fuse box. All OK so IU power is not tapped from any of the points. Unless you prefer new IU with warranty. How? I traced the IU cable to a big mess of wiring that was taped up with black electrical tape. Checked fuses in the fuse box.
