Hermitage 1st Gear August 18, 2011 Share August 18, 2011 Some parts still very bumpy lei. There's one strech on Mandai road where a big invisible hump can cause your car to bottom-out dangerously! It's located at a slight bend summore, and I almost lost control there in the wet! Was going a little too fast as well lar Still, if you recall how our roads feel after returning from bolehland (like Heaven!!!), then you tend to feel that the LTA blokes kinda deserved the award lar. So I'll be big and offer my grudging congrats...

Hermitage 1st Gear August 18, 2011 Share August 18, 2011 Roads best in the world? Have they tried the kallang paya lebar expressway? Its so bumpy...and if u try the CTE towards yishun along braddell on the right most lane, u will be in for smothered bumpy rd.... Oh yeah! The CTE part! Wasn't lidat before right? Just recently went over that section of road and yep, nearly bottomed-out! What's dangerous about these roads is that from far, you can't notice the bumps, road looks smooth. It's only when you go over them that you realise that there are actually invisible humps that bounce your car to a hazardous degree!

Darryn Turbocharged August 29, 2011 Share August 29, 2011 Singapore roads are really awesome!! They are certainly the best that I have ever experienced. Part of it is a natural result of the small size here and no rural areas, part is the authoritarian nature, and part is all the road dividers. My personal theory is that Singapore drivers are so crappy because their roads are so good. By and large Singapore drivers have terrible lane discipline and are really bad judges of speed...why? Because the roads are so good they don't need these skills.
Icyfreakass 1st Gear August 29, 2011 Share August 29, 2011 (edited) Edmund R Ricker Transportation Safety Council Award. Safety award. Maybe we are 'relatively' safer becos the road limits are only 90km/h at most and most of the time the roads are congested.
