Heard it was quite bad. I know that stretch going down slope into the tunnel near cairnhill exit is notorious for chain collisions. It's almost impossible to stop if you are going at around 90kmh and the car in front suddenly stops.

accidents always happen when festive mood is strong..tonight there may be more of such..will see many boy racers rushing to hades [nod]

usually the number one reason is not keeping safety distance...

If its impossible to stop then you probably have to check your brakes. Cuz the front car managed to suddenly stop.

its reaction time...

when i had my accident at jln kota tinggi two yrs back...

i was a good twenty mtrs behind the car in front....

when the car in front jam brake.. i follow suit...

the car in front managed to stop in time.. i didn't....

the car behind hit me even harder...

This period is where the most rental car hit the street.our Malay neighbours will rent car to drive during this period.and we all know rental car,the maintenance not as good.one thing leads to another.next thing we know is accident.

Cuz of this thing called reaction time thats why you need to keep a safe distance. Either follow 2 sec rule or 1 car length every 10km/h and u sure can stop in time. 20m gap is safe only if you are travelling around 50km/h.
