Hello to all computer gurus,

My very old Dreamweaver program with built in FTP seems not

able to work with Win 7. I am trying to locate a simple FTP

free software to allow me to up load my webpages to my

hosting computer. All feedbacks will be much welcome

TIA

Most sellers would have indicated very clearly on the virtual shop space with regards to returns shipping. Most indicate that buyer bears the returns shipping cost.

Windows itself already havr a free ftp program built in.

Go to command prompt, type ftp.

At ftp prompt, type open <ip address>

The follow the screen prompts for username/passwords.

Change transfer mode to binary by typing bin

Use put to upload file and get to download.

Bye to disconnect.

Re-live the good old days of DOS/unix commandline.

The commands mget and mput can transfer multiple files at one go if the entire directory is to be transferred, but if random multiple files I agree it'll be troublesome.

Yes it's easy to set up and use. Manages to download and within few minutes of set up I was on my way to transfer few html pages to my website. Great free software.
