Roverboy 1st Gear November 4, 2011 Share November 4, 2011 Hi guys, just wonder is it worth signing up at $38 for 2 years membership? 31% off tires and some rim 50% off, wheel alignment at $50. Kb27 Supersonic November 4, 2011 Share November 4, 2011 Hi guys, just wonder is it worth signing up at $38 for 2 years membership? 31% off tires and some rim 50% off, wheel alignment at $50. Any current member got any unbiased view to comment? Due to change tires soon ,just saw the promo on today paper... Let's see.. Your tyres are likely to last at least 2 yrs. So you're unlikely to change tyres within 2 yrs. That means you should add $38 to the tyres after 31% off or about $10 a tyre if you buy 4. Depending on the cost of the tyres, you could pay either more or less if compared with other brands. Would you use or need wheel alignment? 50% off is no cost to them or you could find a cheaper alignment elsewhere. Unless you really like Hankook tyres..otherwise... Just my unbiased view. Ultramega 1st Gear November 4, 2011 Share November 4, 2011 Is it worth? Simple maths leh.Since it's a discount card, if u save money after factoring in the $38 and 31% discount, then worth la.
Mysportwish 1st Gear November 4, 2011 Share November 4, 2011 i had the same dilemma earlier as well..... considering hankook and average out $92-95 per tyre.. in the end i top up $20 per tyre and go for michellin XM1 (XM2 is more pricy). overall paid $80 extra if compare with hankook but this will be depreciated over 2 years lifespan on average and i get to use my favourite tyre i am not keen on their 50-60% next purchase. My friend use it on their battery, not cheap thou. But i still an amaron lover the choice is yours :)
Boyboy 1st Gear November 4, 2011 Share November 4, 2011 I like hankook service. I went for the membership mainly for the free nitrogen and tire repair for the duration of the membership period.. With the battery voucher and tire discount, it has become a no-brainer for me. But I live near Hankook Toh Guan. So that's another factor i considered. If I had to go out of the way to pump my nitrogen I wouldn't want to do it. Somehow my tire pressure maintains very well when I pump nitrogen. almost 2 months between pumps and the pressure didn't drop at all. Like one other bro put it, "simple math". Some other tire shops provide free nitrogen top ups n patching if you purchase tires from them. it's about the same deal. Go work it out and decide.
