Been to the West coast for 10 times but will be first visit to the Vegas next month.

Any good recommendation for hotel near the main street with rate about USD180 per night?

Will not be driving. Any nearby outlet?

Tks in advance.

I stay in Marriot last time, is not in the strip area but it was nice and very near to mono-rail.

Yes there is Premium Outlet but is quite out of town, you can ride special bus from the strip area and catch the same bus return back at the same spot.

Is there only one Marriott? Do you know how much and the special bus timing?

Is it bigger than the Desert hill or Gilroy outlet?

It is a little smaller than Gilroy and Dessert Hill, near Las Vegas North.

If you have time, you should rent a car and drive to Hoover dam during the day and the outlet at night.

I've been to Vegas twice on business trip.

Stayed at Harrah's, then Hilton.

Harrah is along the strip, but the room like not very good.

Being a desert city, water costs money.

So bring along water if you can. ;)

Go on weekdays as weekends rate is much higher.

Yes, need to do some homeworks.

Of cos is the price can be as low as USD120 and good location would be best.

Which hotel is the nearest to the outlet? My consideration is stay near to outlet and not too far from the main strip.

Not driving there cos jus staying 2 nights and I suppose from hotel to hotel shouldn't be too far.

Car rental is not very expensive and Hoover Dam is worth a visit if you have not seen it before. i think you should stay on the strip, it is what Vegas is about, the neon lights, partying atmostphere, the constant ringing sound of slot machines, the crowd at night, it is such an exciting and vibrant place, so don't get yourself hole up at some out of place hotel due to shopping consideration. You can take a cab to the outlet as it is not very far, less than 5 km from the strip, and fares are not very expensive.

Treasure island price is ok but the location like a bit away from the strip?

Do you know the name of the nearest outlet?

Hotwire rates are not bad for Vegas hotels, if offpeak, Vegas rates are dirt cheap.

Ya saw on one of the hotel rate that the weekend is 3 times the weekday rates.

Treasure Island is on the northern end but still on the strip. I stayed there last time, rooms are ok. I like Mirage and MGM. I have heard good review of Marriotts although it is not exactly on the strip but near enough. Luxor sucks the last time i stayed there. Excaliber also not up to my expectations when I stayed there more than 10 years ago.

There are lots of hotels along The Strip from MGM to Luxo to Strathophere. U can go to lasvegas.com.

The factory outlet is south of The Strip. Perhaps there are more out of town.

the outlet nearer to stratosphere is more worth going

anywhere black friday is around the corner

happy shopping

Premium Outlet in the north gets my vote. You can google both outlets and it will provide you with a list of retailers at both locations.
