Recently taken quite a few ramen meals while in Japan. Came back to sgp, trying to eat same quality ramen and no time to try out different ramen joints one by one. Any bros here managed to find good authetic (especially without using aginomoto) ramens... where are the places for a good eat? thanks n cheers [:)]

You can try this place called Ippudo Japanese Ramen. 1 branch at UE square and another one at Mandarin gallery. If going for dinner go early if not long queue. They have a website can google to find it.

there are many authentic ones around..but whether u like it or not depends on personal taste..i only like 2..Nantsuttei @ Parco Marina Bay and Santouka @ The Central..if u like Hakata style ramen..Ippudo can suit u well

Havent tried nansuttei.

One or two at Ramen champion are not bad.

I still think Santouka is the only one i can eat in japan n SG n feel its abt the same standard.

SG's ippudo is only 80% of JP's standard.

Marutama i don't like.

Santouka for the win! (but salty and i think quite a bit of MSG)

Ajisen is ok lah. I like some of their ramen. Pork curry [:)]

But some of the others are quite lousy.

Anyway for 14 dollars including a side dish. I cant really complain.

For me, it is Baihoken Ramen from Asahikawa. I've tried quite abit of ramen in Japan and Hokkaido's ramen are the best and among those, Baihoken comes top. They have outlets at 7 North Canal Road & Takashimaya.

For convenience, Men-ichi is pretty decent.

fyi this is the list by ieat so you might want to do the ramen trail yourself [laugh]
