Theman Clutched November 25, 2011 Share November 25, 2011 Hi, My car is coming to 3 years, recently received a notice from LTA asking for car inspection before renewing my insurance. The problem is, my windscreen has a 1 ft long crack. I am wonder whether LTA will still let me pass for insurance renewal. the reason is i want to change it under my new insurance, i am thinking to opt for agent workshop isntead of insurance company authorised workshop. Hope any brpo can share your experience. Thanks. ↡ Advertisement
Beehive3783 Turbocharged November 25, 2011 Share November 25, 2011 Better fix it before you go for your inspection.. I wouldn't consider a windscreen with a long crack to be roadworthy if I'm the inspector.

Yeobh 4th Gear November 25, 2011 Share November 25, 2011 You will fail the safety test and that can mean an overall FAIL that means you will have to pay for re-inspection.
RaviAuto Neutral Newbie November 25, 2011 Share November 25, 2011 Vehicle inspection is a procedure mandated by national or subnational governments in many countries, in which a vehicle is inspected to ensure that it conforms to regulations governing safety, emissions, or both. Inspection can be required at various times, e.g., periodically or on transfer of title to a vehicle.
