I have been on MSIG for the past 2 years.

why go thru BM? There’s so many Brokers out there that can source for the lowest insurer for you.

Do you have any recommendations for a broker?  I've usually just dealt direct with the insurers, never gone through BM before.

I thought my Lexus SE told me changed to  Liberty

Just got a letter from BM offering me 2 options, one each from MSIG and Liberty. So it looks like their in-house unit is brokering between the 2 now.

The price gap between the 2 is quite substantial though, without a major difference in benefits, so it looks a bit like Hobson's choice!

My brother in law does this so I usually go thru him.

You can Google for good references for Brokers ba.

Thank you bro. This is helpful.

I personally agree with you, the pre facelift 2013 model is too ah pekish, 2018 model is however too much for me. 2016 model is just nice in between the two extremes.

Possible to share some thoughts on market price ? I see most listing at around 14-14.5k , reasonable?

Bro, I guessed it's about there. Mine was brand new

Thanks, have reached out to a few and will see what they're like, in comparison to BM's quotes.

Does anyone have any experience dealing with Liberty on claims?

Did you try calling the insurance company directly. I was offered AIG when I bought the car 3 years back then BM changed to MSIG - prices quoted was not competitive. I call AIG up directly and they offered me the same coverage for significantly lower (50% cheaper). Made a claim at BM a year back and they processed it as normal.

Does anyone know if we can use 5W-30 or the default 5W-40 engine oil for a 3yr+ ES250. Am thinking of using 5W-30 to see if can have better fuel efficiency.

Best is refer to your manual.

mine was the IS200t and I could use 0W-20 so I went to buy this.

But I’ve been using 5W-30 subsequently on other brands of engine oil.

Anyway Giant having promo for this oil. Looks pretty good value although 4L is not enough for 1 oil change.

For warm climates, my manual allows 30wt oil also.

So this one should be perfect for those who change their own oil, or trying to bring their own oil into workshop.

I bought 2 bottles of the original Lexus 5w40 oil. Going to my own workshop for servicing tomorrow. 0w20 seems too thin. Ur mileage still low?

What make you think it’s too thin?
