Anyone here drove the 1.3L Corolla manuel? How's FC and maintenance? Worth getting as compared to cerato /avante manuel?

That 1.3 is a dinosaur compared to the other 2. Insurance might be more expensive for cars (Budget Direct) over 20 years old than those within 20 years old even though road tax is cheaper for 1.3.

I can't find any info in English.  I seen Taiwanese used car dealer Youtube video of DCCD switch to 100% rear

F90 M5 only allows RWD in race mode which is not possible to use on the road

Not sure about the STI but I had the F90 (non competition) for a few days. You can adjust the drivetrain to RWD in the settings and use it on a public road.

Wonder how much the 400Z will be from Tan Chong.

If less than 100k difference, RWD plus real sports car cred wins any day for me.

300k?

More than 300k for base version (non-Nismo) probably not keen.

Less than 300k, I would consider.

Of course hoping for really cheap.

DSSD of WRX STI allow 100% power to the rear.

OK, I have never had an STI (only modded base WRX). But I thought there was a max rear bias to the DCCD,  something like 65 percent.

Mind you, this was back when I was into the scene with the EJ.

In contrast, I believe the F90 BMW M5 allows true 100 percent rear bias.

i use to own hackeye sti

dccd cant 100% rear.

max is 60 or 80. cant remember.

Thanks bro, that's what I remember also. Never 100 percent.

A bit surprised cos @inlinesix has very good technical knowledge so I thought I was wrong.

Own one donkeys years back cause its carburetors technology not so efficient as compared to todays technology with all kinds of VVTI and fuel injection etc. Only about 13 to 14km/l IIRC. Any workshop can service this car.

13km/l is not bad.. would avante/cerato manuel beat this?

100% city driving, Avante is around 11 to 13km/l. 100% highway driving, it gets 15 to 18km/l.

Power wise a 1.6 would definitely better than 1.3.

Just wait till it start to slip.  Most of the time, can last 100k km.

Labour cost for clutch change not cheap hor.

Once the manual clutch starts to slip , and if you ignore the warning , you will just burnt more fuel and overtime the clutch may decide to seize up. So do not be pence wise pound foolish. Fix it asap.
