i bet that a simple sorry statement could earn back some respect instead of a bombastic running in the bush sorry and no sorry kind of statement

just apologise, period.

a 10 years old kid did something wrong and apologise unreseveredly by saying "I am sorry" ... he is forgiven.

isn't that's how we teach the kid? admit fault and say sorry.

just apologise that say something wrong.

a 10 years old kid did something wrong and apologise unreseveredly by saying "I am sorry" ... he is forgiven immediately

the remark in isolation, would not invoke so much wrath

but view in the context of

the book of hard truths from Mount Sinai...

the bus load full of young terrors...

it has other undertones...

Another own goal by the A-Team. [laugh]

Yes, just in time before 2011 ends; now SHT is eligible for Variable Bonus, Performance Bonus, and Employee Recognition.

Clap Clap. :D

what c--k this old man talking. problem is not the mrt staff cannot speak english well, is smrt top management do not know what english words to use for informing passenger in the train.

This is easily addressed. No need to know so many words. Just need to say the following magic words:

"Public service announcement from SMRT: Dear commuters, it's an honest mistake that you're running out of air. Your dying in our trains is a freak event that happens at most once every fifty years. So let's move on. By the way, please don't break the windows." [laugh]

Just teach those magic words to all the Malay and Indian staff and we'll all be golden. 70% win for P@P next time, SHT carried high, borne on a palanquin by our overjoyed SMRT commuters.

If we look at the criteria for piublic nominated MPs recently. Better people are not allowed (likely to outshine the A-team).

Don't follow Castle. Yes, Simon Baker's fantastic. Do you wait for Sg to air the episodes, or do you ...um..."procure" them proactively? [laugh] The last episode with Patrick blissfully losing his memory only to be jolted back into misery looked humdrum throughout but was redeemed by the way he played that crucial final scene. No words, just an expression that lent such dramatic gravitas. He is amazing.
