Hi all

experiencing above after removing drl n wiring. drl was previously installed independent of lighting n came with on/off switch.

previously a wire wired / tapped to 7.5 fuse.

now removed "unused" (not sure if it's needed / not) 7.5 fuse to see how, as i'm thinking it shorted if unused (me poor in electrical / electronic, so pls tell me if it's not the case).

appreciate any advise, especially from those who encountered similar issue.

Replaced new batt, everything seemed fine.

Rechk previously removed wiring, no short or contact w car body or other wire.

Every morning start car, at acc, volt meter reads 12.2v, so is it normal now, as parked car running surveillance camera, configured to cut off at 11.8v?

Appreciate any advice, Tia.

Didn't know last batt zhun zhun die after I removed drl wiring, so Thoth I didn't do properly maybe short n cause fast drain on batt.

Ya, I should think batt was issue, connection all ok.

Tks.

ya, i think problem solved, n i've just diy-ed philips daylight 4 led drl in 2 afternoons - difficult part lies in getting connector clamped onto headlight power cable strand & philip control module wire due to very crampy headlight area & just-nice headlight cable length.

the satisfaction of diy... provided things don't screw up beyond what u can salvage...

U did yr Philips 4 LED daylight running lights ah? How much u bought e parts to fix up yr LEDs? I might consider doing if ty r lasting unlike what most shops wil give u n ty start to blow in a few months only. Most r made in China crap led's.

Also FYI only. Aftermarket LEDs DRL is illegal in SG. U need to switch them off when going fr inspection.

BTW DRL sud b connected directly to an electrical source that is "ON" as soon as u turn on e engine n not connected to headlights elect supply cos ty supposed to b on ALL E TIME as long as engine is running. I wud likely connect to other source like ciggy lighter or ACC source better. [idea]

no need to buy anythin (almost); all provided! only need no. 10 spanners, no. 8 spanner (for my own bolt & nut for mounting provided brackets onto grille), screwdriver (if u use provided self tap screws), plier (to clamp provided connector to tap power signal fr headlight to philips LED control module; this part REALLY challenging - i dropper provided connector & can't find it, ended buying another at autobacs, which design easier to slot into wire at cramp space). also running DRL wire another challenge due to cramp space between grille & radiator.

philips led drl designed to turn off if you on headlight & on if no lights. another type would dim if other lights on.

i heard need to cover / tape drl before inspection & not just turn off.

PM me if u wanna check out mine:)
