How do I buy the ebooks for either reader?

I have the nook color. It really suck big time.

I have the kindle fire. Great product - handy sized, decent battery duration, user friendly features

 

Only problem is, other than surfing and reading books, I have problem installing apps/games unless I get my device rooted, which I'm loath to do.

 

Anybody knows the workaround?

No work around unless you modify the software. CM9 is currently being ported on it.

lol lol... once in a regular I get question abt kindle fire or nook... my typical answer... if you wanna get a reader, get the E-ink kindle eg: kindle basic, kindle touch etc. Those LED Backlight are not as good a reader as a e-ink product.

 

if you want a all in one product, Ipad2/3 or Galaxy Tab... the rest ... meh...

It is really priced very cheaply and many sought to buy the nook colour or the kindle fire because of the CM workaround = cheap tablet. you should have considered that in mind before you got it.

I bought a refurbished nook color at 119 USD. If you compare the performance to the ipad2 or kindle fire, then you must also compare the cost difference.

I paid 350 for nook color wifi. 7 inch

I paid 688 for ipad2 wifi. 9.7 inch

 

Lemme tell u. Yes u can tell me compare the prices etc.

 

They are worlds apart in terms of user experience.

 

Even my baby nephew stopped playing the nook color immediately after giving him.

While he hogs on the iPad.

 

Nook color is darn heavy for a 7 inch. It is unbearably slow.

The charging took ages and battery depletes very fast.

 

And did I also mention the volume is very soft?

 

Btw. Less than one year my nook color is spoilt. The touch screen are non functional. Even after reverting to stock b & n OS.

I paid double for iPad and I'm 5 times happier. That's all I can say.

 

And I love kindle as a reader too. Simply amazing for me to read before sleeping.
