A table and 3 chairs cost $2348. The table costs $264 more than 1 chair.

Find the cost of the table.

Cost of 1 table = cost of 1 chair + 264 dollars.

 

So spending 2348 dollars is equivalent to buying 4 chairs plus spending another 264 dollars.

 

Cost of 4 chairs = 2348 - 264 = 2084 dollars

 

Cost of 1 chair = 521 dollars.

 

Cost of 1 table = 521 + 264 = 785 dollars.
