Yeah, and the 116i shares the same turbo-charged engine as Mini Cooper-S [;)]

An RWD Mini?

That's one of the selling point touted by PM... Rear wheel drive, more fun to drive!

Nope, no RWD Mini.

I think is gonna be a FWD BMW

You don't get it, do ya?

An RWD BMW 116i with the Mini Cooper-S' 1.6 TC engine = an RWD Mini!!

Neutral Newbie

Hi,

i just booked the new BMW 1 Series, 116i. Basically, I was having a hard time deciding on Volkswagen Golf Match or the BMW 116i.

After much deliberation with my family and with the over-trade by BMW, we finally chose BMW.

How I made the decision:

Volkswagen BMW 116i

Capacity 1.4 1.6

OMV 23K 27K

Maint 3 yrs free $1k voucher

Finance $2k for loan exceed $100k $3k for using in-house loan

overtrade cost $0 $7K

Bidding 4 bids guarantee 1 bid guarantee

From above, you can see why I go for the BMW.

For sharing.

The only reasons ppl go for BMW are:

1. RWD; &

2. 50-50 weight split.

The only reasons ppl go for 1 series is it is a pocket rocket.

BMW needs a lot of TLC if you intend to keep it for long.

By the time your Jazz COE is up, COE price could be $100k [laugh] [laugh]

Small issue lah. Not expensive. Small price to pay for a great car.

Oil seepage after 2-3 years is quite common for cars in general. A natural material like rubber naturally deteriorates after time and constant heat/humidity. Maybe Japanese cars take 4 or 5 years to have oil leak but still, small price to pay.

That joker is the type that will put off buying a home to stay in, hoping that prices will crash, and betting against the market. Brave but ultimately will die.

hi there, mind sharing the final purchase price after whatever discount & overtrade? TIA.

i think now should wait for merc a class! should be next best seller if priced competitively against bmw 1-er & audi a1.
