Tolls are normally 30B and if you don't have exact change , just make sure u put out your note early and they will prepare the change first.

Now on a short road trip to the Khao Yai , about 2hr /180km away from the BKK airport . Staying at Khao yai for a few days and use it as a base to visit/explore Khmer temple in Phimai and Buriram, all a few hours drive away...

anyone familiar with the new (w.e.f. 31st Dec 2016) visa rule for entering Thailand via land borders?

Apparently foreigners on Tourist Visa Exemption (which includes SG but not Msians) are only now   allowed two (yes,2 ) land entries a year. I briefly saw this reported in Thai news but can't find the link now.

wah lao. If indeed true, then will need to ration out the drive trips. In 2016 alone I went abt 4 or 5 times.

This is an interesting itinerary, but $99 per pax for optional day trip is a bit too much. I don't recall the tickets for tunnels and hot spring cost so much. Is it RM ?

All prices quoted in SGD.

That was what I found while searching around the internet on road trips to Thailand.

betong is a very small town. I saw more durian trees than people LOL

can easily DIY with a GPS. Don't need handholding. I went to all the places listed.

Hotel - the Grand Mandarin betong is an old hotel. 4 -star at it's prime. I parked at the driveway when I was there. But next time (if I ever go to Betong again) I will probably look for a newer hotel.
