Of three expats in 2010 Suntec fight, one sentenced to jail but two jump bail.

THE three expatriates are facing charges over a brawl at Suntec City in 2010, during which four people were assaulted.

But two of them have jumped bail and fled Singapore.

Robert Stephen Dahlberg, 34, an options broker, fled last July.

The New Paper has since learnt that Robert James Springall, 25, also an options broker, absconded while out on bail last December.

The trio were charged on July 7 last year and released on bail.

Nathan Robert Miller, 35, an Australian business development manager, was sentenced on Monday to three weeks

Similar case in now embroiling in Taiwan involving celebrity Makiyo and a Jap guy who beat up a Taxi driver. Travel restriction is impose on the 2 Japanese nationals.

How on earth can our govt allow these scums to travel and get away with the law?

Let's give credit to the brave chap (Paul) who stepped in to help... I am not sure about others, but i will have serious doubts if i see 3 big guys pounding one in those situations. Maybe I can assume 90% of us who will either drop jaws (and do nothing), do nothing, or 'suffer' momentary blindness until the situation was out of sight and miraculously regain the sight immediately after... To Paul.. brave dude...

Didn't the authorities hold on to their passports? How did they escape? Sampan or swim a la Mas Selamat?

On bail doesn't need to hand over passports unless police think they risk escaping. Apparently, SPF didn't they would run road. <_<

A few thoughts

1. J22... So nice you feeling ok? Did u just get laid? :)

2. Australia was a prison colony. I am KIWI!

3. Very brave to step in and help

4. Very "soft" to suffer psychological problems after one little fight you voluntarily joined.

5 what was the court thinking in not confiscating passport?

The 1st scum was granted travel by authority after bail.

Moral of the Story? Never get drunk as a group in public. YOU WILL GET INTO TROUBLE.

Makiyo & her gang now in deep-deep hot soap. Taiwan media now blasting them even after her sobbing apology earlly this week. Siao liao! Taxi driver now in ICU.
