Recommend audio installer

hi,

 

just bought a pioneer 1450 from my friend, looking to install in my civic...any intro. jsut want to keep it simple w/o amps etc, jsut head unit swap...

Did you find someone? I am also looking for a WS to swap HU.

Not sure how much is the normal labor rate if you are not buying the HU from the installer.

I think it is $50 if just to swop the HU.

Check out the audio forum section for reviews of audio installers.

Considering that it is just a HU swop, any installer can do it nicely. Go for one near your home/office.

I got it replaced at Trust Motion on Ubi Ave 1.

Not many shops open on public holiday.

Charged 50$. Good workmanship, almost spent an hour in setting up my Double DIN HU.

Did a check of all speakers DB level afterwards and configured the equalizer, FM channels etc.

 

My HU is Sony WX-GT80UI, got it for 149$ from Mustafa. Quite happy with it.

Mainly needed for the USB and Aux inputs which my original Kenwood didnot have.

 

FM reception is bad through. Worse than my earlier set. Not sure how to fix that !

done my pioneer head unit and transfer all audio system with Ah meng. he took 5 hours to install and i admire his attention to details.

 

for the amount i paid, i think it is value for money. highly recommend.
