?? I don't think there's a 118 sedan?

If yes, I'd go for BMW without a question, even thought I generally support Merc more.

Performance huge difference.

But the main thing is probably what image you want.....a bit of orange vs apple here.

But then again.....I've driven neither of these cars...

By the way, is not for me. I just got a Cruze. The cars that I have tested drive, meant for my wife. Just making some final decisions before committing.

Yup. This is what though so, after the test drive. The C180 handling and pick is better than that of the 1 series.

What's the characteristics of the car that matters for your wife? Comfort, size, easy to park, safety etc?

Handling shouldn't matter much for wife use unless she tracks or drives hiong.

Between the 2, I think the 118 is more suitable for women.

I like C180, because it have a bigger trunk and engine shuts down when station. Real quiet than my Cruze and the 1 Series. The looks is more solid. And of course, Comfort and safety. Merc score better right? At times I can also drive it. [drivingcar][:)]

It's ok for me. Anyway, I'm planning to take up 3-4 year loan and the rest cash out front. That will help to reduce interest of 3.3%.

bmw hatch too low class for a 40-50s man, too ex for 20-30s man

My budget is anything less $190k. Since is only 2 person most of the time, we don't need a big car.
