Already mentioned, weekdays this timing after 5pm, both sides will be jam. Malaysian workers all returning back JB after work and Malaysians coming in after 5pm (night shift, night club, bars, prata store workers, pick up/send Malaysian tourists from/to Changi Airport,etc)

Actually, the jam between the 2 causeway is rather predictable. There are various apps and websites tracking the pattern for many years. And I myself have benefit from this. As a freelance/gig economy worker, I have always siam the jams going in on weekdays after 3pm and returning after 10pm. Weekends and holidays I avoid at all cost. But if you're the usual work 9-5, off on weekends kind of worker, then you have no choice but the brave the jam lor.
