Rayoflight 5th Gear December 15, 2018 Share December 15, 2018 Taking train in is definitely one of the most sensible choice. Looking at checkpoint.sg, i think its 2-3hrs either causeway minimum. Thats crazy

Flying_genie 6th Gear December 15, 2018 Share December 15, 2018 OMG! Looking at this Saturday's traffic, no 4 hours jam, no talk. I'd rather keep my sanity and stay here to enjoy my morning cuppa, keep the blood pressure low. Save my car's idling petrol burn and maintenance.

Friendstar Supercharged December 15, 2018 Share December 15, 2018 Yes, we went to buy a few ceiling fans and water heaters. Came back and voluntarily declared want to make GST payment. After the $150 a person relief, and pay the GST, it is much, much cheaper than buying the same things in Singapore. And staying overseas longer than 48h increases the GST relief to $600 if that's really what you want to do. You are a great guy. Thanks for contributing
inlinesix Supersonic December 15, 2018 Share December 15, 2018 Wah. You feel an obligation to pay tax ah? Thanks for your contribution then. But I will practice tax avoidance as much as I practically can. Tax avoidance is an offence. Tax planning is not an offence.

Kusje Supersonic December 15, 2018 Share December 15, 2018 Tax avoidance is an offence. Tax planning is not an offence. Tax avoidance is legal. Tax evasion is not.
Kklim Supercharged December 15, 2018 Share December 15, 2018 Tax avoidance is an offence. Tax planning is not an offence. Tax avoidance is not against the law. Like LKY wrote: "Lawyers and accountants regularly advise their clients on how to arrange their assets to benefit from the tax laws." He was giving a statement on the HPL discount. So if you stay more than 48 hours in Malaysia just so you could avoid paying GST on your new fans, it's perfectly legal.
