Australia pilots chao keng lar..... :we-all-gonna-die:

A bit of laser, fly back to ship and report sick ... :ninja:

I think the pilot is justified to engage if someone shoots a laser at it.

You never know if it's a "civilian" or "military" system.

This should be covered under rules of engagement. Australia may need to update it for new unconventional threats from the PLA Navy and its proxy.

Just send a belt of 762 or 50c .. say they were under attack from pirates.

Those " fishing boats" should be taught a lesson.

The Indonesian map itself says it all: Indo gov is not complaining its territory being violated, but rather protesting Chinese ships in its EEZ area which is over 200 km away from Natuna islands. That EEZ happens to overlap with China's 9-dash-lines zone.

UNCLOS does not consider EEZ a territorial sea, but belongs to international zone.

So why the 大惊小怪 ? [confused]

Auntie,

When China was weak, many countries did alot of evil deed to the Middle Kingdom.

When China is strong, no one dare to do anything to it.

So when had China "grab" anything from anyone?

Its about time they got involved anyway, they've been standing on the sidelines on this for some time liao. Indo is the only country in Asean that China will give face too.

What does UNCLOS say about fishing and oil exploitation rights within the EEZ?
