China’s widely read state-backed tabloid the Global Times, published by the ruling Communist Party’s official People’s Daily, said in a Saturday editorial that Friday’s drills were a rehearsal to take over Taiwan.

"The US and Taiwan must not misjudge the situation, or believe the exercise is a bluff. Should they continue to make provocations, a war will inevitably break out," it said.

IMO, the USA administration has always threatened the Chinese trade, investment, exports and visa applications. Likewise, China also use the same method to threaten Taiwan security and military power. Diplomatic term - only dialogue

Duterte turns to old ally US as he gets tough on China

https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/se-asia/duterte-turns-to-old-ally-us-as-he-gets-tough-on-china

Wow...someone just grew a pair 😂

"The 75-year-old leader on Tuesday gave his most forceful defence yet of a 2016 arbitration ruling in favour of the Philippines that said Beijing's expansive territorial claims in the South China Sea breached international law.

Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Mr Duterte said the decision "is now part of international law, beyond compromise and beyond the reach of passing governments to dilute, diminish or abandon", adding: "We firmly reject attempts to undermine it." "

Any war is playing into USA game plan. Why should asia go to war and not let the bombing be in America? Who are the people that die in a war? Not the government or those who initiates it, the ordinary people living there suffer. Asia must stand united and keep reminding themselves not to let the few individuals betray them for their own benefits.

Now can see where US is coming from. Japan and South Korea also need to increase budget to offset their bad debts. Haha

Of course not enough.

PLAAF every other day sent jet to stir shit.

By the way, why US don’t sell F35 to ROC?

You are very funny. When US sent warship to far away from their own land, sell arms to so that you can shoot each other and instigate your people to have civil wars, bomb people they don't like or don't agree with them, you think they are hero. What kind of logic 🤔

It's a matter of time before they sell the F35 to TW. Just waiting for an excuse.

Now get rid of old F16 spareparts inventory first!

US can’t sell F35 as it will provoke PRC.

F16 has similar avionics as F35 that allows networking

US waiting for China to claim their Chengdu stealth fighters can out-match the F35, then selling an "inferior" fighter to TW won't be an issue.

Unless China later says their stealth fighters actually not so good....
