Poortraveller 1st Gear May 12, 2012 Share May 12, 2012 u sure u understand wat i wrote boh? me is saying yellow light where the missconception of appearing dimmer as it is yellowish is in fact brighter when u measure them under a lux meter, given that both warm & cool white are the same waltage. so which part is wrong? correct me if i am wrong, 1) what you are saying in your previous statement is that yellow light is brighter then the white light? 2) now you are saying, yellow light will have a higher lux level as compare to white light when both is of same voltage? i need to confirm if my understanding of statement is the same as yours before i comment further .... i think u mix up with another properties of lighting ↡ Advertisement
SimonTan 2nd Gear May 12, 2012 Share May 12, 2012 Ceiling lights use the florescent type. More choices and 'cheaper'. Floor standing use LEDmulticolor....can create the right mood for love when needed. Desktop also LED, less flickering and brighter.

Deckbuild 6th Gear May 12, 2012 Share May 12, 2012 I used to sell LED, I would say for for fluorescent unless you talking about replacement for incandescent, you will never get a ROI, Unless you turn on your lights 12 hrs a day at home and by doing so waste more energy isn't it. Take note drivers to drive LED have life span. LED lumens will depreciate as well.

The attachment from philips lighting clearly state what you have comment is wrong ... Both of same product with same CRI of 80, same power rating 14W, it is clearly stated that with 2 different color temperature both give out same lux level ... LED lighting really will not have ROI... but for casino application 24/7 operations... the ROI is good... LED drivers should normally last the same lifetime of the LED chips... at market average of L70... if driven correctly at 350mA...

Shanhz 3rd Gear May 19, 2012 Share May 19, 2012 i just installed LED lights for my living room.. have to admit it is less bright than my older bulb lights. but becoz i replaced 2 old lights with 4 new LED lights, so overall the room is brigher and the light is more diffused, so quite soft on the eyes (not so glaring). overall quite satisfied and also can on the lights all day long becoz LED power usage super low ↡ Advertisement
