Unlicensed driver caused friend's death, 2 seriously injured

He had no driving licence, yet offered to drive his close friend and two others home after a drinking session.

 

But it ended in a crash along Corporation Road on July 4, 2010 that killed his friend who was due to get married. The other two were seriously injured.

 

On Tuesday, Sikander Singh Gill, 28, was sentenced to 28 months' jail and banned from driving for 10 years after he pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving, causing grievous hurt, drink driving and driving without a valid licence.

 

Deputy Public Prosecutor Yang Ziliang told the court that the four men had been drinking beer and whisky at a park near Block 208, Boon Lay Place.

looks like all serious cases all drink driving!!! Must really clamp down hard on drink drivers!!!!!

Question is: was he drunk? Perhaps he was the only guy not drunk so he took over the wheel...so he crash the car because he couldn't handle it, or he was drunk? Any which way, its stupid! The car owner also stupid to give him the car keys to drive!

Recently brought my boy to GH n local arcade

 

Played a car game Duno what's the name but by namco

 

Can race with others , tuned up rides, add comestic etc

 

I seeing 5 yr olds to adults playing this game

 

All these jokers must be playing too much arcade

 

And taking real life driving for granted man

 

Crashing like in games, the wun die effect

 

And this case, after drinking afew drinks

 

Guts bigger dare to take keys to drive as if in arcade
