Vulcann 6th Gear June 4, 2012 Share June 4, 2012 From STOMP: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...he_got_hit.html Posted on 03 Jun 2012 'Heroic' Chinese bus driver saves his passengers after he got hit by flying debris A Chinese bus driver who died after protecting his passengers from any harm while on the expressway has been hailed as a hero by netizens, including STOMPer Ai Zhu Guo. 46-year-old Wu Bin was driving the bus on the expressway last Tuesday (May 28) when a piece of flying debris broke the windscreen and pierced through his body. Despite being in pain, the Hangzhou native was able to bring the bus to a halt on the side of the expressway before he attempted to tend to his injuries. Unfortunately, Wu succumbed to his injuries in the hospital four days later. STOMPer Ai Zhu Guo wrote in, hoping to showcase a side of Chinese citizens not commonly seen around here: "I hope to share with STOMPers a recent news of how a bus driver stopped the bus he was driving to save his passengers despite being seriously hurt by a flying piece of metal sheet/rod. "Sadly, the heroic bus driver passed away in the hospital. "I hope this will show that there are good people in China too." ↡ Advertisement

Sixty people were injured when the driver lost control of the vehicle late Sunday at a sharp bend near Narr village, around 25 kilometres (17 miles) east of Islamabad. Too many negative reports nowadays of their country and of their citizens...

Wishcumstrue 6th Gear June 4, 2012 Share June 4, 2012 How many of us would be able to do exactly the same thing he did if we were to be in his shoes? I first saw the video pushed from SINA's iphone app on 2 Jun morning. I could even feel the pain he was in as he agonized at the steering wheel while holding his injured side with another hand before slowing the vehicle from over 90kph cruise, switching hazard lights, put on parking brake and unbucket before standing up and instructing his pax not to wander too far as the bus is still on the highway lane. According to some pax, he was placed on the 3rd- row seat after collapsing in the bus. One of the bus passenger paying respect. An 86-year old man 来金龙 left a note to this family on 2 Jun. Wishcumstrue 6th Gear June 4, 2012 Share June 4, 2012 im wondering wtf is that flying debris coming at a high speed! The debri came from opposite direction of the highway. It seems to originate from a truck plying on the another side. (slow motion 0:50) There were no vehicle ahead of the bus. When the metal fragment hit WuBin, it would easily be over ++110kph since the bus was already doing over 90kph, 4 of the pax said Wubin collapsed in the 1st pax seat (1:32) and render him first aid. They did not realize how bad it was as Wubin wasn't bleeding externally.. ↡ Advertisement
