Not really seen the flashes. Really hope it will go away. Perhaps it is a wake up call to remind me to keep healthy, exercise and have a balanced healthy diet.

I believe you should go and consult an eye specialist immediately to determine the cause.

Hello bros and sis,

Anyone having this problem before? Floaters? In short they are like irregular lines, spots that seems floating in your vision especially obvious when you move your eyeball and against a bright background?

For unknown reasons so far, last saturday afternoon the floaters(quite a fair bit) just appear. [bigcry][bigcry][bigcry]

Hoping it will go away soon and hear from anyone that have this experience.

my friend saw flashes and lotsa floaters, and found out eye retina almost detached, and had operation

if 1 or 3 floaters, it's still ok. but if many at one time, better to see eye doc soonest.

eye very important

hmmm..i sense retinal detachment. Did u scratch or apply force to yoru eyeball???

I have a friend who saw many floaters suddenly. Went to specialist and he concluded it is retina detachment. Can go blind in weeks if not operated. Better go for check up.

If you are not young, better be careful.

Bro did u also see a lot of dots, black dots when u look against white background, in addition to the floaters? If yes, be prepared for possible retina tear. These dots are blood due to retina tear. Don't want to scare u unnecessarily becos d first doc said ok. Gd that u r seeking second opinion.

Very high chance of retina detachment/tear. I had it, then half my vision blacked out when I was overseas,

flew back and went under the knife immediately. Vision saved. Not as clear as before, better then going blind.

I believe can be temporary but can be serious and permanent prior to blindness, too. Best consult more than one eye specialist. Someone had something like that before. The first eye specialist told him he was going blind due to blood vessel damaged in the eyes. The second one told him it was temporary due to air bubble in the blood vessel to the eyes. He seems fine now.

A few years back, I suddenly noticed the appearance of a larger than usual floater. I quickly make my way to the A&E at a nearby hospital. After careful examination, the doctor found that no retina tears. Thank goodness it was a false alarm. I went back to my regular eye surgeon (who did my lasik) for another checkup just to get peace of mind and he too found no damage. Better be safe than sorry. Quick action may save your eyes from serious damage. BTW do not drive for your eye check as the eye drops cause your eyes to be dilated which makes it nearly impossible to drive (especially at night).

Ask someone to take a head shot of you looking straight at camera with red-eye reduction/correction turned OFF. The eyes in the image should appear red. If yellowish you have a retina problem. Take care. Take more wolfberry (kor kee in Hokkien) as they're good for eyes.

u nearing middle aged? probably have some element of posterior vitreous detachment.

> 3 especially sudden appearance is high chance of retinal issue.

I have one permanent small loop, due to scarring. Not going anywhere, the detachment was severe.
