This could be the cheapest EV on the market.  RMB 70k or SGD 14k.

The claimed range is 300km.  Realistically, it could do 240km.

40mins for fast charge up to 80%

643KM - testing

realistic real world - 450KM , more than enough for 1 way to KL

https://www.foxnews.com/auto/tesla-first-400-mile-range-model-s

The EPA rating that this Tesla 402mi (643km) is based on already provide quite close to real-world numbers.

I shall shamelessly link to my post written on EPA ratings:

So I would say it's 600km realistic range, just enough to go KL and back

As usual i alway say ev is clean only when your source of electric is clean.

Those electic sportcar that use tones of power for a full charge have higher carbon footprint then a normal peteol run car in singapore.

RMB70,000 is only about SGD14,000 OMV. Could be the cheapest PHEV on our road if dealer willing to bring in. But not sure if they have left hand drive versions. [:p]

After R1, ORA release R2 one year later, eventually renaming it to "White Cat"...man...what a name for a car. :slow: But names aside, it has much cleaner lines than R1.

The R1 looks like Honda e's front, while the White Cat looks like Honda e's rear. Maybe The next model will have Honda e's interior!

This definitely solve Range Anxiety

It shows that battery swap is really possible. Kudos to NIO. [thumbsup] Next we need some industry wide battery standards to enable a swap station to perform swaps for different EVs as long as they adhere to the standards (E.g. type 1 battery, type 2 battery,...etc).

That mean every carmaker has to design the battery in the same shape

I personally think Nio is just burning VC money. Sounds good but really hard to make it into a sustainable network. [laugh]

Based on its latest financial statement, net loss of USD2m.  Not bad already for a startup.

Nio needs volume to be sustainable network similar to Tesla.

This car looks really promising.

Looks almost like an electric porsche.

If you don't know there's already an electric Porsche, I'd say you were Taycan the piss, mate. 😂
