Apparently higgs has a bosum????

LINK

Can a [scholar] explain?

explanation was actually below the link article. you read through again with the explanion should be clearer having understand what they talking about.

The Standard Model is the simplest set of ingredients - elementary particles - needed to make up the world we see in the heavens and in the laboratory

Boson, not bosum or bosom.. Lol

I believe it's some particle thing that explains how universe works. cmiiw.

Heard about it but never pay much attention. ^_^

I have not checked your link,

But I think it is how to create matter, in theory, if you can create matter (mass) then it is like "God" ability to make things.

In theory it is a huge leap forward if we can create matter....

so there're bosoms and there are also Hard-ons (hadrons)?

scientists are kinky. No wonder love is a matter of chemistry and sex, a matter of physics.

I already read it and still catch no ball. Can you put it in very layman terms?

I wonder if such discoveries can lead to this

Old news at this point. By which I mean it's already almost a week since the announcement.

The CERN particle smasher will provide further breakthroughs. The discovery of boson is still premature. Notice that alot of articles kept harping on Higgs Boson. Many seem to forget that the CERN director who delivered the press release, stopped short of declaring that the boson particle is indeed a Higgs boson.

IIRC. but there is another name for it called "God Particle".

its a theory that there is something that hold the whole universe together.

simply mean they might have found out that something.

Higgs boson ... the God particle.

Imagine the 'universe' before Creation (aka Big Bang).

A vast nothingness ... can you imagine yourself in nothing, not even light ... a pure vacuum with no boundaries, no limit.

With no concept of time, cos there are no events to time 'time'.

Events only occurred with the First Light and following that, a forever-expanding universe.

Thus began the space-time continuum.

What had happened in that split second that created matter from nothingness, and with that anti-matter as well, to balance up the whole creation material balance? Scientists have theorize that without the Higgs Boson, matter cannot be created in the first instance!

It's also called God particles. Any CHC member care to explain further?

The story is they originally wanted to name it the "Goddamn particle", because it's so damn hard to find.. But for politically correct reasons, the "DAMN" part is taken out.. it's in the 70s anyway..

It sounds a lot like they have discovered THE FORCE

Time to convert to Jedi as religion [cool]
