Throttle2 Supersonic November 9, 2012 Share November 9, 2012 Throttle bro, what is the lightest and sleekest Rolext model apart from those in the cellini collection? Hi Steppy, Rolex is sports by nature so none of the watches besides Cellini is light or sleek. Most are quite fat and robust looking. I guess the Date and Datejust is about the lightest and "sleekest" after the Cellini The quartz series also slightly slimmer. Why do you ask? ↡ Advertisement
Steptronic Supercharged November 9, 2012 Share November 9, 2012 As you know, I bought a Prince with leather strap some time back and now I feel that it is not "authentic" enough. I am not convinced that I am "old" enough to wear those bold and beautiful ah pek Rolexes. Eventhough I realised that I do not have enough options in Rolex, thought of having a word with you, the Rolex man! Eying on IWC Perpetual Calender gold too. But Rolex is Rolex with higher resale. Hmmmm.

Hmmmm. If Buy Rolex , forget the Cellini, mate. I buy Rolex not for resale, as i basically dont sell them. The two that i sold, i regretted and bot back. but it's nice knowing that they hold value so well. Rolex suits my lifestyle and how i wear my watches, easy-going. My first Rolex, a submariner in 1998 has served me well till today. In fact i wore one watch for everything from 1998 until 2006 before i bought an ExpII and Daytona. Then all of a sudden this year, went a bit ballistic and bought, Oysterdate, Oyster Datejust, Daydate, and gold GMT2 If you are looking for elegance which i think you are, go for the latest Gold Datejust on strap or if your finances allow, a gold Daytona on croco. They are very elegant yet strong and sporty at the same time. Best Edited November 9, 2012 by Throttle2

Steptronic Supercharged November 9, 2012 Share November 9, 2012 By the way, any recommendation for ADs / showrooms with good collection of Gold DJs and better rates? Thanks
Throttle2 Supersonic November 9, 2012 Share November 9, 2012 By the way, any recommendation for ADs / showrooms with good collection of Gold DJs and better rates? Thanks I bought mine mostly from, Watch Palace. They should hv a really good collection as they only do Rolexes. Alternatively, you could get a preown DayDate head in solid yellow gold , slap on a croco skin strap and it will look so classic and stylish, yet understated and tasteful. Watch Palace sells brand new only. They are probably the biggest single store Rolex only retailer. I bought my Daytona from them in 2006 for $17800 when no other AD in Singapore even had one available. I bought my wife a lady dj for valentines in 2003 from them too. Rolex movement is very steady. I teach you a tip , not many people know. turn the hour hand past 12 so that the Day will jump then rewind the hour hand past 9 and you will see that the Day remains do that again as desired so as to move the Day. No need to wind two rounds (24hrs) to change the Day. cool eh?
Throttle2 Supersonic November 11, 2012 Share November 11, 2012 here's a really solid Seiko vintage 70s diver unlike no other. The 6105-8110 Diver. The most beautiful Divers watch in my opinion.
