Give another 2 or 3 years, people will start moving to Win 8 and it will be business as usual again.

As tempting as wanting to upgrade, I can't as I have a lot of technical software & have surely have comparability issue.

If I just use standard MS office & internet, & some other simple tasks, then no issue.

Most apps I use nowadays are cloud-based. So it doesn't matter which OS I use. I only need a web browser and an internet connection.

Sooner or later, someone will develop a suite of cloud-based apps that we can simply log in and do everything there via the web browser, completely doing away with the need to install any programs on the PC. I believe that day is coming soon.

can try to "qualify"..... just key in the appropriate valid dates..

There's an article in today ST, can just key in the infor even if infor not valid. But then you won't know if Microsoft will take action against this group
