drivecarefullyme Neutral Newbie January 19, 2020 Share January 19, 2020 What products do you guys use for maintaining your leather seats in your Porsche? Sounds odd but I would like to maintain the Porsche factory leather smell to my seats. I have heard good things about Leatherique, Sonax and Lexol brands. Even though it is next to Mini Habitat, never walk in before. I bought some BMW car care product. The price is reasonable. Since he wants to retain Porsche smell, must buy Porsche car care product. Atachi 6th Gear January 21, 2020 Share January 21, 2020 (edited) I’ve been using their leather care products and can say non of those gives the new car leather smell. But they do what they are suppose to do, provide good conditioning and shine. Edited January 21, 2020 by Atachi

All the workshops check also no use. Would anyone buy I'd be cautious and send it for a PPI with a Porsche specialist workshop. I was looking at a 997 turbo some years back. The inspection by Weissach (not cheap and I paid for it) threw up so many defects that the used car dealer and I couldn't settle on a fair price. In the end I walked away. Contrary to urban legend, Porsches are *not* bulletproof in reliability, especially the older ones. The engines themselves are pretty good but many other things can fail and it varies model to model.

I got a quote from another PPI, it wasnt expensive so i shall probably reach out to weissach because they may be more comprehebsice. Other concerns besides maintenance and breakdown cost concerns would be if parts can be purchased promptly, being a 10 yo car, and of course selling it again in a few years, but the latter is less of a concern

Practically any car's odo can be tampered with. There's a whole currently active thread on this. In Singapore, disregard the mileage. I have a Dec 2018 BMW 216 AT which i am thinking of changing to M135i. Mileage is 5500 km. Would anyone believe me? 😒 ↡ Advertisement
